It looks like David Fincher's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is coming up for air yet again. Disney's Jules Verne adaptation has officially been delayed, with the studio halting production until next year.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald (via The Film Stage and /Film), this latest snag stems from casting issues. For some time, Fincher had been courting Brad Pitt to star as the film's master harpooner Ned Land, but the actor ultimately turned down the role. Channing Tatum was in talks to replace him, but apparently that didn't work out either.
