Back in the early '90s, Will Smith was a purveyor of family-friendly hip-hop and star of a wacky little sitcom called The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. By all rights, his career should have peaked there. Smith's resume includes a winning mix of action, comedy, drama, and even science fiction. It's that last genre Smith is returning to with his newest film, After Earth. With M. Night Shyamalan directing and his son Jaden co-starring, Smith aims to show us what happens when humans return to their home planet for the first time in 1000 years.
