So, first, we had Pixar's Cars. That 2006 animated flick about a flashy racing car that finds friends in an unlikely place, was a commercial hit, and spawned many must-have accompanying toys. Then, in 2011, Pixar released Cars 2, which saw the racing car and his country friend travel around the world to compete in a big race, all the while getting mixed up in some good old fashioned international espionage. This sequel was an even bigger hit than the first, and with new car characters came… you guessed it, new toys. Now, Disney Toon Studios have taken Pixar's blueprint (they're all basically one company now anyway) replaced cars with planes, and called it… Planes.
