When you order a battleship to turn in one of Leviathan: Warships' multiplayer battles, you'd better mean it. Relative to most turn-based plan-and-go tactical games, this is a light and accessible game with easy-to-learn drag-and-drop controls, but against a worthy opponent it becomes a slow but tense battle of wits. Positioning a lumbering boat so that its gun firing arcs line up with where the enemy is going to be – while simultaneously doing everything you can to keep out of reach of their weapons – makes every turn of a multiplayer naval warfare engagement a satisfying mind game of anticipation and counters.
