Adventure Time: Second Season Blu-ray Review

Seeing as how it took a while before Adventure Time offered its ever-growing fanbase Season 1 on Blu-ray, let us commend them on also releasing Adventure Time: The Complete Second Season at the same time. That's 26 more episodes in glowing, gorgeous hi-def; with landscapes and characters that just pop out of your TV. Like the Season 1 transfer, Season 2 is ferociously fluid in its presentation.

Season 2, story-wise, successfully grows the realm while keeping all the usual favorites in play. In my review of Season 1, I only mentioned Star Trek's George Takei as a guest voice, failing to mention the likes of Mark Hammil, Brian Posehn, Keri Kenney-Silver, Lou Ferrigno, and Clancy Brown. Season 2 keeps the quirky, alterno-voice squad alive with Miguel Ferrer playing Death ("Death in Bloom"), Paul Reubens as an evil Gnome ("Power Animal"), Peter Stormare as the mocking Sir Slicer ("Blood Under the Skin"), Henry Rollins and Laura Silverman as Lady Rainicorn's parents ("Her Parents"), and Biz Markie as the love-lorn Snorlock ("Slow Love").
