CCP Discusses New and Future Games at Eve Fanfest

Every year CCP, developer behind the growing EVE Online, has a fan gathering in the company's homeland of Iceland. While cool EVE news always comes out of it every year, this year the studio has been revealing details about future projects.

First we have a currently unnamed experimental space combat game (via PC Gamer). It pits teams of six players against one another in dogfights that take place within the EVE universe. It's currently built in the Unity Engine, and, best of all, it utilizes the Oculus Rift. There's no plan to actually release the game at this point, and it's not running in a way where it could be easily integrated into the existing EVE universe. It was created in just seven weeks during the time CCP grants its employees to pursue side projects.
