Star Wars: The Clone Wars Wins Two Emmys

Star Wars: The Clone Wars may be over -- besides the "bonus content" episodes we're still waiting to hear the release plans for -- but the show is ending on a high note.

Tonight, The Clone Wars won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program. Series creator and executive producer George Lucas (you may have heard of him) accepted the award, presented by Carrie Fisher no less, with Lucas joined onstage by supervising director Dave Filoni, producer Cary Silver and line producer Athena Portillo. The Clone Wars beat The Legend of Korra and Dan Vs. in this category.

The Clone Wars had never been nominated for an Emmy until this year, when it received seven nominations. The show also won Friday in the Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program category, with David Tennant honored for his work as the droid Huyang in Season 5.
