"I think we're really good." Vince Zampella says it almost like a question. At the time of our interview, Respawn Entertainment's general manager has lived in a world where Titanfall, his studio's first game, has only been known to the public for 30 hours. It was the last announcement at Microsoft's E3 2013 media briefing, the tantalizing "and one more thing..." finale to the publisher's debut of its next-generation software. Zampella didn't know what to expect. "We went in blind," he says, unaware of how Titanfall's visuals, ambition, and quality would stack up next to everything else on Microsoft's stage.
Yet even after the enormously positive reception to Titanfall's reveal, part of Zampella seems to wonder if it's "really good."
