DC recently canceled The Legion of Super-Heroes, making this the first time in quite a while that the heroes of the 31st Century haven't had some sort of monthly series. But speculation has been rampant that DC is planning a relaunch that will remold the Legion into a more Justice League-inspired team - one more palatable to casual readers. A Justice Legion, if you will.
Well, those rumors turned out to be half right. DC is indeed prepping a new team book set in the 31st Century. But it's not Justice Legion, it's Justice League 3000. This new series features futuristic versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Whether these characters are descendants of the originals or simply newcomers taking up the mantle of the original Justice League remains to be seen. It's possible the line-up could even include some ex-Legion members in radically altered costumes.
