One Direction, Katy Perry and even Michael Jackson have all recently had sizeable hits with concert movies. And now it's Metallica's turn.

However, much like the way in which the band's 2004 documentary Some Kind of Monster changed how we'll view these temperamental rock gods forever, Metallica Through the Never way well change the way we look at gig flicks for good.

That's because director Nimrod Antal (Predators, Vacancy) and the boys have decided to weave a narrative into the concert. So the gig – which is very much a greatest hits set – is juxtaposed with a young roadie's journey into hell.
