While recently discussing the past, present and future of the Bond franchise with Skyfall scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, IGN also took the opportunity to quiz them about their forthcoming TV adaptation of Barbarella for Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn.
"We're discussing it - we're going to work it out with him," Purvis explained. "We've started – it's great for us to work with someone like that. Drive was a great film. We've already got some ideas. You have to have faith that people will like it."
"It's got to be about something," Wade added. "And with Nicolas we have to do a good job. But science-fiction is great when it's a metaphor and about something. About our world. That's what the aspiration will be. But Barbarella is a very good question. There are some strong things that were in the film that were from the comic books and we're going back to that."
