Greg Rucka's run on the Punisher was fantastic. As a longtime Punisher fan, I can safely say that it was one of the best takes on the character to date. Rucka got it right from the very beginning; since the first issue. That said, Punisher: War Zone has not exactly been the ending many of us hoped for. It wasn't bad, but it felt like it never quite reached the heights previously established in Rucka's run. Whether it was the art, the tone, or just the story setup, something never clicked. This final issue is the best in the limited series, without a doubt, but it still pales in comparison to the work done on the main Punisher title.
