Once Upon a Time: "Manhattan" Review

Rumpelstiltskin, Emma, and Henry's journey comes to an end on a doorstep in Manhattan. Yep, Rumpel's long lost son is also Henry's father – Neal Cassidy (you'd go by an alias if your name was Baelfire). Everyone was shocked, and Baelfire wants nothing to do with his dad.

Remember back in "Tallahassee" when August told Neal to leave and it seemed like he agreed too easily? Yeah, August knew who he was. However, Neal/Baelfire didn't know who Emma was and that seems like too much of a coincidence. Someone had to arrange their meeting, and it's not Rumpel. Maybe Regina?

Emma and Neal's reunion wasn't joyous either, but it wouldn't have made sense for it to play out any other way. But it's interesting how Emma's first instinct was to hide the truth about Henry – even though the kid is nearby. You could write it off to panic but given she didn't know her parents, you'd think she'd want Henry to know his father.
