It's good to see that Green Lantern: New Guardians has kept the momentum going from its superb Rise of the Third Army finale and translated it into the entertaining part three of Wrath of the First Lantern. When Kyle Rayner became a White Lantern, it showed that he had mastery over all emotions instead of just one, and that dynamic is precisely what makes his interaction with Volthoom more interesting than what we saw with Guy Gardner in Green Lantern Corps. Focusing on just Kyle proves to be a blessing for Tony Bedard, as the intense character focus allows him to tell a succinct and powerful tale.
