Comcast Acquire's GE's NBCUniversal for $16.7B Feb 12th 2013, 22:28 In a move straight out of 30 Rock, Comcast announced today that it will acquire GE's entire 49% common equity stake in NBCUniversal for $16.7 billion. The buyout was originally scheduled for July 2014, but the transaction has accelerated and is expected to close by the end of Q1 2013. Additionally, NBCUniversal will purchase the properties used by the studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and CNBC's headquarters from GE for $1.4 billion.
