Ray Donovan: "Black Cadillac" Review

A very late, and quick, review this week as we all recover from Comic-Con mayhem. Episode 4 of Ray found our characters taking steps into worlds that are unfamiliar, and in some cases hostile, to them. Ray, Abby and the kids tread into the piranha infested waters of the Hollywood elite during a visit to the prestigious Bel Air Academy; at which point it became clear which apple was falling from which tree, as Conor (in a half punk/half bad-ass move) demonstrated how the Donovan family solves disagreements.

It's interesting, and a testament to the writing on this series, to watch Abby loose touch with her daughter even as she propels her into the life she's decided they will have. Bridget's far more comfortable rubbing shoulders with the wealthy and powerful jet setters than any member of her family - perhaps with the exception of her father, who just doesn't care.
