Following the announcement of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Blizzard has detailed exactly what fans can expect from the new expansion.

In an interview at Gamescom, game director Josh Mosqueira and art director Christian Lichtner discussed the philosophy behind Diablo's new Act, new class and more.

"Basically, this is our opportunity to hearken back to what we really loved about Diablo -- that dark, Gothic setting – and dig deeper into that world," Lichtner told IGN. "We also have exterior and interior scenes that you can go into and out of. We'll have weather changes as we're doing that. It's really exciting for us to have environments that are not just dungeons. There are randomized exteriors as well. Again, it's the perfect setting for this new expansion. It's very much into these sorts of western European-influenced roots, with a very strong medieval feel."
