Once you start talking to Valve's Erik Johnson about making games, you soon realise that while you're going to walk away happy in the knowledge that he (and Valve on the whole) are in the industry, all the questions you had planned for the interview are kind of redundant. You know the answer before you even ask. Valve's philosophy of playing it loose, trying a bunch of things, and listening very closely to feedback pretty much covers anything that comes up, but still. It's nice to hear from the horse's mouth, so here's what EJ had to say about all things Dota 2.
