Bay's Ninja Turtles Gets Pushed Back Aug 15th 2013, 23:21, by Max Nicholson Paramount Pictures has shifted the release date of the Michael Bay-produced Ninja Turtles from June 6, 2014 to August 8. Why the push back? Deadline reports that it's because Bay's Transformers 4 comes out on June 27 -- though that date will also likely change to June 25, as it's tradition with Bay films to open on the Wednesday of that week. With both franchise films packing a merchandise-heavy marketing punch, the studio thought it would be better to space out the two movies. Of course, that does put Ninja Turtles just one week away from the release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy -- a daring move, for sure. We'll see if it pays off in Paramount's favor next summer.
