2013 is finally here, and with it comes Wii U's first full year on the market. Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and LEGO City: Undercover are due in the next few months, with plenty of Nintendo secrets no doubt waiting on the horizon. Yet the path to this point has been entirely fascinating to observe, as Wii U's launch could be characterized as confusing at best, and disappointing at worst, with reality settling somewhere between. In fact, with Wii almost an afterthought for the past two years, all eyes have been on Wii U's capabilities, games and marketing – none of which have been entirely reassuring for a variety of reasons.
While we wait for announced games to approach, and unannounced games to surface, let's take a look at the past year.
