It seems like Eclipso is making a big comeback in the DCU lately. The members of Team 7 are battling the diamond's influence in the past, while Selina Kyle has fallen under its sway in the present. Unfortunately, one of these books is handling the Eclipso conflict better than the other, and it ain't Catwoman.
The wildly inconsistent tone is one of the major flaws with this current arc. It's difficult to tell if Ann Nocenti is trying to weave a fun and lighthearted adventure or a dramatic character study. Issue #16 veers between the two at random points. The tone is disjointed, and the scene transitions are even more so. The final pages feel completely out of place with the rest of the book. It could be argued that the disjointed tone and portrayal of Selina is due to the fact that she's possessed by multiple supernatural entities, but the problems continue even after she's back to normal.
