Batmobile Equals Bond Record at Auction Jan 21st 2013, 11:35 The original Batmobile from 1960s TV show Batman fetched $4.6m at auction over the weekend. The car – designed by Hollywood automobile customizer George Barris – was the first of six Batmobiles created for the hugely popular ABC show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the car was built in just 15 days, is road legal, and features several gadgets, including a Batphone and oil squirter.
