As you've likely heard, Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas' Veronica Mars movie campaign broke Kickstarter records yesterday by making the entire $2 million dollar goal in just ten hours. Fans of the series came out in droves to support the project, and have continued to do so. They are nearing the $3 million dollar mark on day two. While many have been excited by the opportunity to participate and support the oft-discussed and long delayed film's production, others have mixed to outright negative feelings about the use of Kickstarter. A social media backlash against the campaign's rapid success quickly emerged to compete with the enthusiastic fan response.
