Valve-Backed Xi3 Piston Available for Pre-Order Mar 11th 2013, 16:42 Xi3's Piston console is now available for pre-order on the company's official site. The Piston will retail for $999.99 with a standard 128GB of internal SSD storage, and can be upgraded to 256GB for an additional $340 or 512GB for an additional $750. The Piston includes 8GB of RAM and a 3.2 GHz quad-core processor and Xi3 expects it to be "shipped in time for the 2013 Holiday Season." Pre-orders placed between now and the end of the SXSW festival in Austin (which concludes at 11:59 p.m. Central on Sunday, March 17th) will receive a $100 discount off their order.
