SimCity Restoring 'Non-Essential' Features

"Non-essential" features originally disabled to ease server loads during SimCity's launch week are now slowly being reintroduced as the game's simulation aspects are further honed.

Lead Designer Stone Librande has taken to the SimCity blog to outline these new developments. Regional achievements are now live on a small number of servers, he says, and the Leaderboards have been re-enabled on the Test server.

Librande says that now the team is "getting close" to resolving the numerous server issues, they are now working on the simulative features of the gameplay, such as streamlining the traffic issues that players have faced.
