Parks and Recreation: "Bailout" Review

"I like this store now."

"Bailout" might have been overly topical, occasionally falling back on a few actual bailout jokes used by late night hosts over the past year, but it was still fun to see Ron and Leslie clash over ideals, coming to no actual solution at the end. Usually there's a bit of concession on both sides, but this time they honesty had to agree to disagree. Leslie got her way, but the local government money she spent on resuscitating the outdated Video Dome just worked to pervert it into a successful porn haven.

So Video Dome, thanks to Leslie using funds to preserve it as a historical landmark, transformed from a wasteland where owner Dennis (guest start Jason Schwartzman), a man who thinks an idea of a crowd-pleasing movie is any Andrey Tarkovskiy flick with subtitles, served up Japanese slime candy and Bulgarian wheat balls while offering nauseating documentaries such as Tears of My Blowhole to a booming XXX adult film-o-rama. Alas, the place where Leslie knew she could, if she ever wanted to, rent Rashomon was gone. And all Ron could do was giggle. Maniacally and magically.
