Iron Man 3's Hall Joins Depp-Nolan Sci-Fi Film Mar 4th 2013, 22:57 Alcon Entertainment announced today that Iron Man 3's Rebecca Hall has joined the cast of Transcendence, the upcoming sci-fi film starring Johnny Depp and executive produced by Christopher Nolan. Hall and Nolan previously worked together on The Prestige. Transcendence marks the directorial debut of Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister (Nolan's TDK trilogy, Inception). While the official release wouldn't divulge plot details, prior reports claim Depp plays a scientist who is reportedly working on a programming code for the world's first fully self-aware computer. Hall's character has previously been described as both a scientist and Depp's wife. Filming begins this April in Los Angeles.
