Ray Donovan is a fascinating series to watch. It's got a remarkable cast, an interesting conceit, and the makings for one of the most compelling, nuanced, tragic, dangerous, and yet fun to watch father/son dynamics on television. It's almost as interesting to observe the responses to the series as it is to watch the show itself, though. For some, this is the best new drama on television and Ray Donovan can do no wrong. Others find the show to be lacking in terms of story construction and character development, so much so that they've opted out of viewing all together. I find that I can understand both points of view - and almost equally well.
