PS3 Servers For MAG and SOCOM 4 Being Shut Off Jul 16th 2013, 22:24 Today, Sony rather cryptically revealed on Twitter that the online servers for SOCOM Confrontation, SOCOM 4, and MAG will be shut down early in 2014. All three of these games – PS3-exclusive titles launched from 2008 to 2011 – met with various levels of popularity, but none performed nearly as well as the SOCOM games on PlayStation 2. SOCOM 4 in particular suffered from the PlayStation Network outage that happened right when the game launched, and the studio behind two of the games, Sony-owned Zipper Interactive, was closed over a year ago.
