Pikmin 3 topped sales charts in Japan this week, selling 92,720 copies in its first two days on sale. Pikmin was joined by three other Nintendo games in the top 5, including 3DS exclusive Youkai Watch (which sold 53,654 copies), Tomodachi Collection: New Life (26,065 copies) and New Super Luigi U (24,881 copies). These numbers only represent physical sales, so it's possible that these titles performed better when digital copies are taken into account.
Looking at hardware, 22,199 Wii Us were sold (pushing lifetime sales to 990,738). While this is a big boost for Wii U compared to last week, it's significantly lower than the sales of Wii at the same point in its life.
