The first page of Dynamite's The Owl got me excited. An inspired throwback, it's drawn and colored like a tribute to the old pulps from which the series was spawned. It's dynamic and fun, an exciting little intro to the character. Sadly, the first page is the only page in the book that carries that look. What follows quickly becomes your standard pulp retread, a decent tale of a returned hero that never really gets any sort of traction.
