Video games are an art form composed of visuals, sound, and a mysterious little something we call gameplay. Limbo is the perfect example of these three crafts working together in harmony to create something astounding. With no text, no dialogue, and no explanation, it manages to communicate circumstance and causality more effectively than most games. As we stand on the precipice of a new generation of consoles, this black-and-white 2D puzzle platformer remains one of this generation's best games.

Already available on consoles and PC, it now comes to iOS. Skeptical? Believe me, I was, too. As well as touch controls work for certain genres (tower defense, puzzle games, etc...), I tend to avoid any virtual buttons or platformers that require precision. But I am happy to report that Limbo's touch controls work exceedingly well.
