Seeing how he's writing the main Superman series, I was interested to see what approach Scott Lobdell would take to with Action Comics, which recently has been known for telling stories at different times in Superman's career. The result is that he brings it up to speed with the present and connects it to the plot he's been telling in Superman, which unfortunately isn't his best writing. There's really not much difference in tone and story between the two titles now. They both even have way too many thought balloons.
