There's little denying that Vibe is a better character in the New 52 than he was during the Justice League Detroit days. No longer is Cisco a mildly offensive racial stereotype in the ultimate "Say Jim, that's a bad outfit!" costume. Now he actually has things like personality and motivations and all those other trademarks you expect from a fully realized superhero character. But ultimately, I'm inclined to agree with Joshua's assessment of issue #1. Too much of what makes this comic interesting is tied to A.R.G.U.S. and the events of Justice League of America. This series could just as easily be made to star any number of up-and-coming DC heroes.
