Dec 20th 2012, 22:17

With less than a day to go, Peter Molyneux and 22 Cans' Project Godus has been funded on Kickstarter. The PC god sim's tentative release window is September of 2013.

As of press time, Godus rests at nearly £500,000, exceeding its goal by nearly £50,000. In turn, 22 Cans has promised three additional single-player and multiplayer modes, the ability to "begin your own sect" for the game's social side. Additionally, James Leach, formerly the head of writing at Lionhead, will write Project Godus' story.

If Godus reaches its stretch goal of £500,000, 22 Cans will add multiplayer co-op, posession mode, and first-person world-crafting to the sim. You can learn more about the growth of Project Godus' Kickstarter on its official page and IGN's interview with Peter Molyneux.
