How I Met Your Mother Renewed for Season 9 Dec 22nd 2012, 02:51 Not so fast, Ted Mosby. Deadline is reporting that after intense negotiations between CBS, 20th Century Fox and the show's stars, How I Met Your Mother will indeed be returning for Season 9. The big holdout among the cast had been Jason Segel, but he has now agreed to return with the rest of the cast, for what Deadline is calling the final season. More to come shortly...
