Riddick Gets a Release Date Dec 19th 2012, 01:20 Universal has finally set a release date for the sci-fi/action sequel Riddick, starring Vin Diesel as the badass title character. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the David Twohy-directed Riddick will open in both regular and IMAX theaters on September 6, 2013.
