Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
As the title so clearly informs the viewer, the focus of this week's episode of Ray Donovan was Bridget, her legacy and her namesake. The episode divided itself between Ray's daughter, and her continuing foray into adolescent rebellion, and his late sister who's death "changed him forever."
This week offered some mostly understated, but enjoyable, character explorations, but the series has yet to nail a clear direction. There is an elliptical rhythm to Ray Donovan that is equal parts fascinating and frustrating. There are moments where I wish that the show would simply commit to being the Two Lane Blacktop of family-crime/dark-side-of-Tinseltown cable television dramas.
