PlayStation 4 Release Plans Debuting Next Week Aug 16th 2013, 23:11, by Mitch Dyer Sony seems poised to reveal its plans for PlayStation 4's release date during Gamescom in Germany next week. Its press conference -- which you can watch live on IGN August 20 -- begins "at 18:00 BST on 20 August 2013 with a briefing to media on our release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita." Indeed, expect a precise release date to compete with Microsoft's Xbox One November launch. IGN will have five big predictions for PlayStation at Gamescom very soon.
