Warning: full spoilers for the episode follow...
Hey Monroe, I don't think Alec copies. Only time for a quick review, and I don't mean to make light of the dramatic events of last night's Revolution, but the truth is, this series has been, and remains, a bumpy ride. The show is a mixed bag of overblown and understated acting in the midst of logically-flawed but still mostly compelling storytelling.
Billy Burke is a strong, though often somewhat emotionally reserved actor. But man, when he nails it, he's really able to deliver every bit of subtext in a scene, not to mention a powerful emotional punch. I really don't want to jump on a hate train here, and honestly I do think that Tracy Spiridakos has some great attributes, unfortunately Charlie's forced tough kid demeanor felt a bit on the flat side set against Burke's solid delivery; which detracted from the impact. Having said that, Miles' past as a cold-blooded and ruthless military leader and his present struggle to do right continues to be one of the more interesting aspects of the show. It will be fascinating to see how he responds to having real power in his hands once again. It opens up a door to explore that internal conflict, with even greater external consequences in play.
