Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
This is already going up super late (sorry!), so I'm going to keep this pretty short.
Obviously, the idea of an unhinged, unemotional Elena is a fun one to watch, and "Bring it On" had her doing all sorts of bad things… getting naked, feeding on people, hurting her friends… and cheerleading! Oh, the humanity… Elena had one of the funniest lines this week too, when Sheriff Forbes asked her what was going on and she honestly replied, "Just some underage drinking and drug use.." Nina Dobrev was very good showing this very different version of Elena, while not simply mimicking her performance as Katherine.
It was an entertaining scenario to be sure, though did it bother anyone else that no one called Elena out at all for not catching Caroline during the cheerleading routine? I mean, she blatantly stood back and then walked out after. I'd think someone at that party might bring it up! Or maybe everyone at Mystic Falls High is a total dick and/or hates Caroline?
