Jon Stewart will be taking a 12-week hiatus from Comedy Central's The Daily Show this summer to direct his first feature film called Rosewater, based on the 2011 book Then They Came For Me: A Family's Story Of Love, Captivity And Survival.
The story is about journalist Maziar Bahari's experience leaving London in June 2009 to cover the presidential elections in Iran, where we was expected to stay for a week -- instead, he was imprisoned and brutally interrogated for 118 days. Stewart adapted the screenplay from Bahari's book.
