Microsoft's next-generation console may not only feature improved motion detection with Kinect, it may be capable of intelligently understanding your voice as well. According to a new report from The Verge, the next Xbox will feature "Siri-like" speech recognition, allowing users to power on the console by simply saying "Xbox on" or pull up their friends list by asking "what are my friends playing?". While the Xbox 360 and current iteration of the Kinect offers some degree of voice interaction, like issuing commands to launch certain apps, the new console will seemingly be capable of interpreting more natural phrases and produce more specific results. What's more, the system will also respond to users with answers to their queries with some form of automated voice, the site's sources say.
