The overall framework of Seth Peck's story isn't anything to get excited about, but it does include a nice riff at its conclusion. It seems strange to introduce a new incarnation of the Freedom Force in the final two issues of a series, but that's what's happened here. By issue's end, we're left with expectations of future encounters with the Freedom Force, but we all know that the title after this issue as a Brian Wood-helmed all-female series. On the plus side, I enjoyed the fact that things don't wrap up for the X-Men the way that you might be expecting.
