Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
I'm very curious how this whole cure storyline plays out. This episode, which had several of the characters discuss whether they would or would not take it, once again made it feel as though this was truly an endgame story for The Vampire Diaries – the way the show would wrap up. Even though not only is this not the last year of the show, but it's not even like we're at the end of the season, as there are still nine more episodes to go. Which means some big swerve is in store, but what is it? It would be a let down if it were simply, "The cure doesn't work for anyone." Though I do wonder if it'll be some variation on it turning out to be a big misinterpretation on what the "cure" actually does.
