It's a big day for NBC. Earlier today Comcast announced that it will acquire GE's entire 49% common equity stake in the NBCUniversal for $16.7 billion. Now, hot on the heels of star Christina Applegate's departure from the show, Deadline is reporting that NBC has decided to produce one episode of Up All Night in the multi-camera format without her. The network chose to switch the comedy from a single to multi-camera (shot in front of a live studio audience) show in October in the hopes that a more "traditionally" produced sitcom would boost ratings.
