Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: "The Pulverizer" Review

It's almost a shame that the debut of the long-awaited Shellraiser had to be paired with the introduction of someone as totally weak sauce as The Pulverizer. This week's episode started out strong as Donatello unveiled his latest pet project fueled by the power cell acquired in the Leatherhead storyline. Naturally, though, it was Leonardo who would take up the wheel because, as Donnie put it, "He's the least likely to hit something just for fun." And it was a pleasant surprise to see actual civilians and cars out and about as the Shellraiser plowed through the city streets.

But the fun was quickly halted when the boys ran into The Pulverizer, a portly Turtle fanboy with zero ninja skills and a false sense of pride. After warding off some Purple Dragons -- or as Raph now calls them, "candy for his knuckles" -- Pulverizer was accidentally dragged back to the lair, leaving Donnie with the awkward (and unnecessary) responsibility of looking after the team's newfound admirer.
