When Peter Panzerfaust first the scene, it was a freewheeling adventure with enough magic to liven up its World War II-era setting, a far cry from Barrie's fantastical Neverland. Though Kurtis J. Wiebe's eponymous hero retains the spirit that made him such a magnetic character in the series' first story arc, the continuation of its second, Paris, has seen the adventure lose a touch of the magic that made it so special to begin with. Though #9 is a marked improvement over the plodding pace of the previous issue, the story remains in desperate need of a little spice to liven things up.
