Justified: "Money Trap" Review

Jackie Nevada. That does sound like a fake name.

In "Money Trap," Raylan seeks out a man who's escaped and killed Sharon, an ex-fling of Raylan's who he was connecting with earlier to collect on bounties. The criminal is Jody (Homeland's Chris Chalk), who you may remember from the season premiere, "Hole in the Wall."

"Money Trap" was good fun for a single episode. Sure, we've seen Jody before, but people who hadn't could've jumped into this one easily. It was a well-contained, fun episode with a necessary gritty side. The action was present and the episode captured what the series has done so well: minimalistic action with character development. Raylan eating the ice cream wasn't necessary, but it was cute. A girl's gotta spoil herself sometimes! Raylan wishing the other officer happy birthday; Tim busting Raylan's chops; it all points back to the characters, which is something that's been present the last few episodes, but without the same directional plot.
