One of the finest features of Justified is how it portrays people in Kentucky, makes them sympathetic and constructs them into the everyman/woman. The Hill People are the country bumpkinest of country bumpkins and there's no hiding that, but the reason why this series succeeds is because it reminds us the characters are all people first and Harlan Country folk second. Writing them into the series must've been a challenge - maybe even a bar bet. But it's a fantastic start into the slice of Kentucky life stuff that got us interested in the series. It worked great.
"Kin" was about the search for Drew Thompson and the most solid meat-and-potatoes episode of Season 4.
